We’re experimenting with our own version of NFT “Burning”; a way for our holders to exchange their NFTs for something else of value. All decisions have consequences, are you willing to risk it for the biscuit?

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This is an experimental phase for ZenApe. We are observing, learning from, and adapting with the current market.
Every decision we are making is with you, our holder, and ZenApe at the forefront. We will do what it takes for us all to succeed.
If this mechanism is well received by our community, we will consider carrying the idea on to more high tier WL, such as to our Gangster All Star allocation, and other opportunities where “Enlightenment” would be appropriate.
Here’s how the idea of “Enlightenment” came about:
- We are aware that people have bought ZenApes speculatively for access to certain WL.
Fact of the matter is that ZenApe has a much lower entry price than larger projects, but obtains the same opportunities for our holders - it’s a no brainer!
- We want to ensure ZenApe entrants have an interesting way to exit the project without dumping on floor, which will affect all of our hodlers.
- Our solution is a way to safely send their Apes to “Enlightenment”, removing them from market circulation.
We have thought about this for a very long time, and think “Enlightenment”, especially if continued for more highly sought after opportunities in future, will have a net positive for our community, morale and ZenApe value.
Here’s how “Enlightenment” for MemeLand WL will be carried out:
We made this process with fairness in our minds as top priority. All ZenApe holders should have equal chance at being able to “Enlighten” their Apes.
As such:
- 2.3k raffle tickets will be sold through the WL marketplace over a period or 48 hours for 75 $ZEN each.
There is no need to rush, there is enough for 1 for each holder, and you do not have to check discord or the marketplace everyday to be able to enter.
- After the 48 hours, 100 raffle winners will be selected and announced
- The raffle winners will then have 48 hours to “Enlighten” 2 of their apes and receive Memeland WL
Raffle winners who miss the “Enlighten” deadline will be re-rolled.
Here’s how we are making “Enlightenment” fair:
- Long time periods for both joining the raffle, and “Enlightening” your apes
- Affordable raffle tickets
The price of 75 $Zen was determined after going through the holders dispersion of $Zen token.
- Where other projects would take an allocation of MemeLand WL for their own team, instead our team must join the WL raffle like everyone else.
We do not consider ourselves above our community in any way, and as such will participate with the same chances as our community.
- Adding a Twitter and Discord verification process in the WL marketplace
We know people will send Apes to other wallets to try and enter multiple times. We can’t prevent this. But what we CAN do is scrutinize the winners.
If we find duplicate, bot-like or dead twitters, or duplicate, fake or non-engaging discords, we will disqualify that winner.
Play fair, this is the Zen way.
